Meet Nest’s Staff


Jennifer Ringl, ASID Allied, Owner and Founder of Nest of Grand Traverse and Professional Interior Designer.  Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Western Michigan University. With over 27 years experience working all over the country in both residential and commercial interior design, Jennifer opened Nest in 2003. "My goal is to design spaces that reflect our client's lifestyle and personality within their budget." A successful design means your home reflects who you are and how you live. Her long list of clients extends from the Leelanau Peninsula to Chicago and from Torch Lake to Kona, Hawaii. Her goals as a professional designer are to assist in avoiding costly mistakes as well as create an aesthetically pleasing environment while maintaining function and safety. No space is too small to benefit from the knowledge of Jennifer’s insight. 

NEST is proud to provide professional design services to area commercial clients like the Traverse City Golf and Country Club and Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors. NEST was also voted by Traverse the Magazine readers as #1 Red Hot Best 2015 Furniture & Design Store for Northern Michigan.  Jennifer is the prefered designer to high end builders in the area such as Easling Construction who appreciate organization, budgets, an eye for detail and a creative aesthetic.      


A second NEST location was opened in 2013 in Leland, Michigan.

Nest Interior Designers and Home Interior Consultants are here to help guide clients to their desired end result by coming up with a plan and assisting them in implementing it. Jennifer believes it is important that Nest Interior Designers have at least a four year degree in Interior Design to ensure a professional result. In addition, professional interior designers help you visualize the final design before it has even begun and help to avoid those costly mistakes.

Opie is a 10 year old Goldendoodle and regular visitor at Nest.  He stays in our office but will make appearances in our Design Department when called.  Opie is a nice addition to our store and has built his own fan club.  So when in town, come in and say "Hi" to Opie.
